DIY Ornamental Christmas heart

Now that Christmas is getting close, I decided it was time to start decorating my room for the occasion. And the first Christmas DIY of the season is a really exciting thing for me to do. So I'm very excited about this post!

As you can now see, I have also decorated my blog for Christmas. And since there are too many Christmas posts that I would like to publish, I have decided to start publishing twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

And now moving on to the DIY, to make this heart you will need:

  • A lot of Christmas ornaments (I used balls)
  • Some cardboard or paper (although this could be optional)
  • Scissors
  • Glue (I used a hot glue gun)
  • A ribbon

The first thing I did was draw and cut out half a heart on a piece of cardboard.

I then drew and cut an exact half to form the whole heart.

I used some tape to keep the two halves together.

It is okay if it doesn't look perfect. It's only to guide you and help you arrange the ornaments in a heart shape.

I arranged my ornaments on top of the cardboard heart.

With my hot glue gun, I glued them to each other forming the heart.

I started off by the two tops and continued my way down. But looking back, since my end point was a bit of a disaster, I think I would start from the bottom.

Once all the ornaments were glued into a huge heart, I glued a piece of ribbon into the back of one of the ornaments so I could hang it.

As I said before, I'm not completely satisfied with the bottom of the heart, but overall, I think it is a great decoration idea. And now you can learn from my mistakes and make yours better.

I hung my heart in the entry of my bedroom.

Welcome to my little queendom. It's always Christmas here!
