Dress your tech: Polkadot hearts backgrounds for iPhone 4 & 5

Hey everyone!

This is my first 'dress your tech' post, and I actually hadn't ever tried to make iPhone backgrounds before starting this blog. I gave it a couple of chances this summer but I was never very satisfied with the results... until today. I do know these aren't the prettiest backgrounds ever, but I did think they looked cute enough. So... here you have!

I made four different colors you can  choose your favorite. Just click on the color you want and it will open a new window with the background.

NYC haul

I don’t think anyone who is not from the US can travel there and come back home empty-handed. And I wasn’t going to be the exception.

I personally don’t think I bough that much, but for those who may think I did, you should know that I’d been waiting for this trip for a pretty long time and Spain is kind of trashy and I always want things I can’t have here so I made a shopping list with the main things I wanted from the US and I bought mostly everything! Yay!
Wee!

We have none of the stores I shopped at in Spain. In fact, the only thing I bough there that I could buy here are the toms but they’re literally trice their american price here so I just had to.

Lauren Conrad's books

American Eagle

Aeropostale

Forever 21
(ok. there is one Forever 21 in Spain. But it's not in my city and it would take me like 5 or 6 hours to get there so it doesn't count)

Old Navy

Toms

Bath&body works

EOS and babylips

Yankee candles

Victoria's secret

By this time, some of you may be freaking out that there are so many stores/products that we don’t have here. But what can I say? Some are lucky, some are not.

Back from NYC

Hey everyone!

I'm back from NYC (which is obvious, if you read the post title). I've actually been back for a week but, unfortunately, I don't have wi-fi or a very good signal where I am now so I haven't used my computer a lot.

I had such an amazing time there (which is also obvious, I mean, it's New York!). I think everyone who knows me knows that New York is my favorite city/place in the whole world - although, as someone once said "New York is not a city, it's a world" - so it just had to be amazing (if you know who said that, please let me know in the comments). Nobody can go to that city and not enjoy it.
Me lo he pasado genial allí (aunque, es obvio. Quiero decir, ¡Es Nueva York!)

I also wanted to share with you some of the pictures I took there...

Diy donut/sock bun

I've been a fan of top knots this year (like the one in Eleanor's blog) but this donut bun stays longer so, I switched to donut buns instead.

I always thought this was a very popular DIY, but I keep seeing those donuts to make hair-buns in stores which made me think that maybe not everyone knows you can actually make it yourself. And all you need is two socks!

Start off by cutting the end where the toes go.

Insert one sock inside of the other one and start rolling both socks at a time creating your donut.

For this hairstyle you will need:
Para el peinado necesitas:
  • Your donut (obviously)
    Tu donut (obvio)
  • Two hair elastics
    Dos coleteros
  • Some bobby pins (I usually use one. But the more, the merrier)
Put your hair in a high ponytail.
Pass your hair through the donut hole.
Cover the donut with your hair.
Place the other hair elastic underneath the donut, making the hair stay covering it.
Wrap your remaining hair around the bun and secure with bobby pins. You can also braid it before. I added a little bun wrap to make it cuter.

I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know in the comments if you did and thanks for reading!
