Travel Tuesdays: First days in Belgium

Last September 11th (great day to fly, I know) I moved to Belgium, where I will be studying this year.

Even though I'm studying in Leuven, I also visited Brugge and Brussels (and Ghent, but I was exhausted that day and didn't take any photos. I will next time I visit it. Pinky promise) and I'm loving my stay here so I wanted to share it with you.

Brugge

Brussels

Because I already showed you some photos of Brussels in this post, I didn't take a lot this time...

Leuven

You know how they say "When in Rome, do what the Romans do"? Well, when in Belgium you should drink beer. I've never been quite a fan of beer so I'm trying to start liking it this year. Thank goodness they have fancy beers like cherry beer, blueberry (which I didn't like that much), or strawberry (my favorite!).

Another typical thing from Belgium is french fries. I bought a cone from a fair. I got the smallest cone and omg! That would be considered XL in Spain! So filling!

Another thing I had to do here was rent a bike. I never really learnt to cycle so this is not exactly my favorite part. I'm scared to death every time I have to ride it. Specially since the day I rented it I got hit by a motorcycle...

As part of the orientation days of my new university, we were offered the chance to visit the Stella Artois brewery. It was so hot inside but we were allowed to take selfies with the vests so... I guess that made it worth it.

And that's it for today! I will try to take more photos from now for my new Travel Tuesdays posts. I hope you liked this one! Please let me know what you thought in the comments.

Did you like this post? Why don't we keep in touch?
