DIY Pompom Magnets

The other day, I was scrolling down my favorite website and I saw some pompom magnets and when I clicked on the photo it lead me to a website where you could buy them. Buy them! Considering how incredibly easy to make they are, I seriously do not understand why would anyone buy them... So, you know I have a mission and it is to spread the word about things you can actually easily make at home instead of buying them so... here goes another DIY.

All you need is:
Necesitaréis:
  • Wool
    Lana
  • A fork
    Un tenedor
  • Scissors
    Tijeras
  • A magnet
    Un imán
  • Glue
    Pegamento

Start by wrapping the wool around the fork. The more wool you wrap, the fluffier the pompom will be.

Then, cut a longer piece and insert it through the middle space, underneath the wrapped wool.

Bring the other extreme of the wool over the wool and make a know as tight as you can.

Insert your scissors through the loops and cut them.

Trim the ends so that it looks more rounded and cute.

Glue a magnet to the bottom and... you're done! I used hot glue, but I'm sure most types of glue would work.

Printable calendar

Next week is my last week of holidays (oh no!) and I'm not looking forward to going to class again at all but... it's not like I have a choice. So to help me keep organized during the school-year I made this cute calendar and decided to share it with you. (Yes, I'm spending my last days of holidays on photoshop).

It doesn't look that well in my picture because I'm running out of color ink, but I hope you like it! Click here to download it.

Peanut butter filled cookies

Last week, I was bored as hell and decided to bake a little to keep me busy for a while. So I went on the best website ever (aka Pinterest) and search for some cookie recipes. I tried 2 different recipes but I only took pictures of this one.

I wasn't meant to make a blog post or even photograph these cookies, which is why I didn't really bother to make them look good, so... sorry they're not very cute, I only wanted to do something with my time.

I can't find the exact recipe because I forgot to pin it but it was pretty similar to this one.

Ingredients
For the filling / Para el relleno:
  • 3/4 cup confectioner sugar
3/4 de taza de azúcar glass
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
3/4 de taza de mantequilla de cacahuete
Note: I actually used 1/2 cup of each because I didn't have much peanut butter and I still had some left, so maybe try using 1/2 cup and make more filling if you need it.

For the cookies / Para las galletas:
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
    1/2 taza de azúcar blanca
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  5. Preheat oven to 180ºC / 375ºF
    Precalienta el horno a 180ºC / 375ºF
  6. Make a ball using 1 tbs of cookie dough and flatten it. Make another ball with 1 tsp of the filling and place it on the cookie dough. Cover the filling with the cookie dough.

Dress your tech: Polkadot hearts backgrounds for iPhone 4 & 5

Hey everyone!

This is my first 'dress your tech' post, and I actually hadn't ever tried to make iPhone backgrounds before starting this blog. I gave it a couple of chances this summer but I was never very satisfied with the results... until today. I do know these aren't the prettiest backgrounds ever, but I did think they looked cute enough. So... here you have!

I made four different colors you can  choose your favorite. Just click on the color you want and it will open a new window with the background.

NYC haul

I don’t think anyone who is not from the US can travel there and come back home empty-handed. And I wasn’t going to be the exception.

I personally don’t think I bough that much, but for those who may think I did, you should know that I’d been waiting for this trip for a pretty long time and Spain is kind of trashy and I always want things I can’t have here so I made a shopping list with the main things I wanted from the US and I bought mostly everything! Yay!
Wee!

We have none of the stores I shopped at in Spain. In fact, the only thing I bough there that I could buy here are the toms but they’re literally trice their american price here so I just had to.

Lauren Conrad's books

American Eagle

Aeropostale

Forever 21
(ok. there is one Forever 21 in Spain. But it's not in my city and it would take me like 5 or 6 hours to get there so it doesn't count)

Old Navy

Toms

Bath&body works

EOS and babylips

Yankee candles

Victoria's secret

By this time, some of you may be freaking out that there are so many stores/products that we don’t have here. But what can I say? Some are lucky, some are not.

Back from NYC

Hey everyone!

I'm back from NYC (which is obvious, if you read the post title). I've actually been back for a week but, unfortunately, I don't have wi-fi or a very good signal where I am now so I haven't used my computer a lot.

I had such an amazing time there (which is also obvious, I mean, it's New York!). I think everyone who knows me knows that New York is my favorite city/place in the whole world - although, as someone once said "New York is not a city, it's a world" - so it just had to be amazing (if you know who said that, please let me know in the comments). Nobody can go to that city and not enjoy it.
Me lo he pasado genial allí (aunque, es obvio. Quiero decir, ¡Es Nueva York!)

I also wanted to share with you some of the pictures I took there...
